* Surah Kahf and Fitnah * * Protection from Dajjal *

 🌺 * Surah Kahf and Fitnah * * Protection from Dajjal *

Surah Kahf is a great surah of the Quran, its recitation on Friday is recommended. Whoever recites Surah Kahf on Friday, Allah will provide light for him. Prophet ﷺ said.

Whoever recites Surah al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, there is light between it and al-Bayt al-Atiq (Sahih al-Jami’: 6471).

Translation: Whoever recites Surah Al-Khaf on Friday, light shines between him and the House of Allah.

Messenger of Allah said:

Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on the day of Jumu'ah, it will be illuminated by the light of what is between the congregations (Sahih al-Jama'i: 6470).

Translation: Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday, a light will be lit between the two Fridays (i.e. until the next Friday).

"Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on the night of Friday, there will be light for him in what is between him and the Ancient House" [Sahih al-Targheeb by al-Albani: 736].

Translation: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever recites Surah Al-Khaf on Friday night, light shines between him and the House of Allah.

According to both day and night traditions, it will be said that the time of reciting Surah Kahf is from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday.

Therefore, Muslims should recite this great surah every Friday. One of the reasons for the greatness of this surah is that it is a source of deliverance from Dajjal. The emergence of the Dajjal is one of the major signs of the Day of Resurrection and the temptation of the Dajjal is the greatest temptation of the time. In addition to Makkah and Madinah Tayyaba, Dajjal will trample the whole world and make countless people victims of his temptations. Facing this temptation will be like a challenge for the believers. The Prophet ﷺ has described several ways and reasons to avoid this temptation. One of these methods is recitation and memorization of the first ten verses of Surah Kahf.

* There are four types of traditions related to Surah Kahf to avoid the temptation of Dajjal.*

* The first type: * By memorizing the first ten verses of Surah Kahf, one is protected from the temptation of Dajjal. The argument for this is the following tradition of Muslim Sharif.

From Hafiz Usher Ayat from the first of Surat Al-Kahf, Usim from Al-Dajjal (Sahih Muslim: 809)

Translation: Whoever remembers the first ten verses of Surah Kahf will be saved from the temptation of Dajjal.

In this hadith, there is a matter of memorizing the first ten verses, in another tradition of Muslim, there is a mention of reading the absolute first verses, by which only ten verses are meant.

And whoever realizes it among you, let him recite the Fatahs of Surat al-Kahf (Sahih Muslim: 2937).

Translation: Whoever among you finds Dajjal, he should read the opening verses of Surah Kahf.

*Second type:* By reading the last ten verses of Surah Kahf, one is protected from the temptation of Dajjal.

Whoever recites Surah al-Kahf [as it was sent down], it will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection, from its place to Makkah, and whoever recites the last ten verses of it, then the Dajjal will not harm him.

Translation: Whoever recites Surah Kahf, there will be light for him on the Day of Resurrection from this place to Makkah, and whoever recites the last ten verses of (Surah Kahf) and the Dajjal appears, he will not be able to harm him.

Sheikh Al-Albani said that its chain of transmission is on the condition of Bukhari and Muslim.

*Third type:*Reciting the first three verses of Surah Kahf also mentions protection from Dajjal's temptation, but it is weak.

Who recited three verses from the first cave of unbelief from the temptation of the Dajjal (Zaif al-Tirmidhi: 2886)

Translation: Whoever recites three verses from the beginning of Surah Kahf, he will be saved from the temptation of Dajjal.

Regarding this tradition of Tirmidhi, Shaykh al-Albani, may God have mercy on him, writes that the word for three is shaz, the correct word is "Man Hafiz usher ayaat" which means he who memorized ten verses.

* The fourth type: * The mention of protection from Dajjal's temptation by reciting the complete Surah Kahf is also weak.

Whoever recites Surah al-Kahf on Friday, he is blameless for eight days from every fitnah, for the Dajjal will come out, he will be blameless (Silsha al-Zaifah: 2013).

Translation: Whoever recites Surah Kahf on Friday will be protected from all temptations for eight days.

This hadeeth is weak, see the weak chain, Hadith No. 2013.

Among these four types of tradition, two types of tradition are correct, they are the first ten verses of Surah Kahf and the last ten verses.

Keeping these two authentic traditions in front, Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, wrote: Some narrators have said the first verses of Surah Kahf, and some narrators have said the last verses. The verses are said because of the Dajjal in the hadith of Nawas bin Simaan in Sahih MuslimThe narration mentions that when you see it, recite the opening verses of Surah Kahf and do not disagree with it, which indicates that the narrator who mentioned the first Surah memorized the hadith and the one who mentioned the last Surah remembered the Hadith. They did not remember the hadith. (Al-Ma'ta)

* According to the arguments, the protection from the temptation of the Dajjal is related to the first ten verses of Surah Kahf, this is the religion of Rahij Waqvi.*

One of the most important reasons for this has been mentioned above by Ibn Al-Qayyim. Another important reason is that in the first ten verses of this surah, the closeness and trinity of protection from the temptation of Dajjal is seen, that similarity is not seen in the last verses. Just like the story of the companions of the cave who went to the mountains to save religion and life, the believers will go to the mountains to escape from the evil of Dajjal. The Prophet ﷺ said:

To save the people from Dajjal in the mountains (Sahih Muslim: 2945)

Translation: People will flee to the mountains (to avoid Dajjal).

This is the supplication of the Companions of the Cave: (Rabbana atina min laddunka rahmah wa haiyee lanna min amrina rashad) At that time, the believers will also pray for mercy from the Lord to avoid the temptation of Dajjal and seek His refuge.

*To assess this, the first ten verses with translation and short explanation are presented.*

*Praise be to Allah Who sent down upon His servants the Book and did not make it a burden (1)*

Translation: All praises are due to Allah who revealed this Qur'an to His servant and left no stone unturned in it.

*Explanation:* It has been explained that there is no doubt in the Book of Allah, that is, it is a completely safe book, the one who remembers this safe book and recites it will be protected from the temptation of Dajjal.

*Warning of a severe evil before him and giving good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a good reward (2)*

Translation: Rather, he was kept in good condition in every way so as to warn him of the severe punishment that is near him and to give good news to those who believe and do good deeds that for them is the best reward.

*Explanation:* In this it is mentioned that Allah protects the believers from punishment by informing them of the punishments for righteous deeds and gives the good news of further rewards.

(3)

Translation: In which they will remain forever.

*Explanation:* It mentions the continuation of the rewards of the believers, which is opposite to the fall of the temptation of Dajjal.

*And he foretold those who said, 'Allah will take a child' (4)*

Translation: And scare those people who say that Allah has children.

*Explanation:* The Jews and the Christians and the disbelievers and the polytheists who lied against Allah and raised children for Him, such liars will follow the Antichrist.

(5)

Translation: In fact, neither they themselves nor their forefathers know about it. This slander is very bad that is coming out of their mouths, they are lying.

*Explanation:* This verse is in the context of the above-mentioned verse, that is, they are liars, they do not know the truth, nor do their forefathers.

*So you will leave your soul behind them if they do not believe in this Hadith (6)*

Translation: So if these people do not believe in this, will you lose your life behind them in the same sorrow?

*Explanation:* In this, the believers are comforted that when people are troubled by the temptation of the Dajjal and the unbelievers become victims of his temptation, then they will not feel any sorrow.

(7)

Translation: We have made all that is on the surface of the earth the glory of the earth, that We may test them as to which of them is the one who does good deeds.

*Explanation:* Allah Ta'ala has also pointed to the temptation of the Dajjal by mentioning the temptation in this verse.

(8)

Translation: We are going to make whatever is on it a smooth and clean field.

*Explanation:* Through this verse, Allah Ta'ala is referring to all kinds of tribulation and changes that occur in the earth, such as storms, earthquakes, the temptation of the Dajjal, etc. After all these tribulations and changes, the earth will be made like a smooth plain. I will make a good decision.

* Did you think that the Companions of Al-Kahf and Al-Raqeem were among our verses amazing (9)*

Translation: Do you consider the people of the cave and the book to be a very strange sign among our signs? .

*Explanation:* It mentions the Companions of the Cave who took refuge in a cave (mountain cave) to protect their religion, the believers like the Companions will hide in the mountain to avoid the temptation of the Dajjal and Allah will protect these believers from the temptation of the Dajjal. will save from

* إذْ أَوَى الْفُتْيَةُ إلى الكافِ فَقَالْوَرَبَّنَا Give us mercy from you and guide us from our command (10)*

Translation: When these few youths took refuge in Ghaz, they prayed, "O our Lord!" Grant us mercy from you and make it easy for us in our work.

*Explanation:* Those who took shelter in the cave prayed to the Lord, Allah protected their faith. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, told us to pray for refuge from the temptation of the Dajjal in every prayer. They will seek refuge and Allah will take them under His refuge.

In this short article, it turns out that if we don't remember the first ten verses of Surah Kahf, then memorize them and continue reciting them, because the tradition of Muslim Sharif mentions memorizing them, but it is best to recite Surah Kahf in its entirety. It should be memorized so that it can be recited every Friday without looking at the Quranwill be doneSometimes a person is not able to recite Surah Kahf due to laziness or coming late for Friday prayer, or the absence of a Mushaf also hinders his recitation. Subba will be able to recite it easily in a short time and whenever to protect against Dajjal's temptationWill continue to read the initial verses orally.
